The Oktoberfest – Tips for a perfect day on the Oktoberfest and a perfect night afterwards

Opening times and entrance to the Oktoberfest

You will find 14 beer tents on Munich’s Oktoberfest. They will be open from 9 am to 11:30 pm on weekends and from 10 am to 11:30 pm on weekdays. The last round of beer will be served at 22:30 pm. Only at Käfers Wiesn Schänke and the Wein Zelt you will be served until 0:30 am. These tents close at 1 am.

On weekends beer tents are often closed due to overcrowding! This may also happen on weekdays in the late afternoon. Only if you have made a reservation or have the patience to wait in line for a long time you may enter a closed tent.

Nevertheless, all tents may be visited without an entrance fee or ticket!

How to vistit a tent with a reservation?

From december on one can make a reservation with one of the tents. Notice: You can not make a reservation on the Oktoberfest web page!
Only tables for 10 persons can be reserved. The reservation itself is free of charge, however, food and drink vouchers for 20 Euros per person up to 80 Euros per person have to be paid in advance! The price for vouchers vary from tent to tent. If you have made a reservation is’s important to be at the tent on time!

How to visit a tent witout a reservation?

Of cause you may enter a tent witout a reservation but keep in mind that beer tents are often closed due to overcrowding!
In this case there will be no inlet without a reservation! You also need to have a seat at the table to order a beer. If you don’t have a reservation make sure to be at the Oktoberfest by 3 pm the latest and even earlier on weekends. A reservation for larger groups is recommended as it is very unlikely to get a seat in the tents without a reservation.

When does the music starts to play?

Traditional bavarian music will be played until 6 pm. Afterwards the band starts to play pop songs and the latest hits. Party music will be played earlier on weekends. It’s allowed to dance on benches but not on tables!

Where to party afterwards?

Of cause the party continues with us at Queens Strip Club & Tabledance ( 5min. walking distance from the Oktoberfest) You will experiance a seductive „After Wien“ at the club. Everday from 7pm till sunrise.
